If This Navy SEAL Doesn't Deserve The MEDAL OF HONOR 'Then No One Does' (Liberals will never understand this kind of sacrifice)

This photo provided by the U.S. Navy shows Navy SEAL Michael A. Monsoor, left, on patrol in Iraq in 2006. Monsoor died Friday, Sept. 29, 2006, in Ramadi, Iraq, when he threw himself on a grenade to save fellow SEALs. (AP Photo/U.S. Navy)

Petty Officer 2nd Class Michael A. Monsoor, a member of the Navy SEALs literally threw himself on top of a grenade thrown at his position by insurgents in Iraq.

He knowingly and willingly sacrificed his life so that his fellow SEALs could live.

Folks, I know that the 99.5% of you out there have not seen combat, and many of you are thinking "why did he die for Bush of all people."

I'll tell you why Michael did what he did. When you are on the front lines, it's not about fighting for the folks back home, or about President Bush, the Congress, or even the policy that placed that person on the frontline. It's not even about Conservatives or liberals, or the liberal news media for that fact.

It's about the men next to you in war. That men you have trained with all the time. The buddy that cuts your hair for you. The buddy that makes you laugh, or saves your seat in the mess tent. It's about the men in your squad that you have made it through some hard times with under fire, whose intentions you can read from a gesture or a glance.

That foreign insurgent grenade may have killed Michael's body but his spirit lives on in his fellow SEALS. He will get the Medal of Honor, I can feel it in my bones.

"He never took his eye off the grenade, his only movement was down toward it," said a 28-year-old lieutenant who sustained shrapnel wounds to both legs that day. "He undoubtedly saved mine and the other SEALs' lives, and we owe him" an AP report noted.

Liberals will never understand this kind of sacrifice.

Screw the Godless libs and the dem-leaning Mods!

What an incredible hero. So many days I am afraid that we don't have young people like this anymore, and then one of our warriors proves me wrong. I hope his family get taken care of, but my guess is he is with the Lord now. There is no greater love than to lay down one's life for their friends.
He certainly should get the Medal of Honor. Thank God we have men like this in our country still.
I just don't get you. You're extraordinarily angry and very black-and-white about things. I consider myself more liberal than conservative, definitely. I think that the war in Iraq was a mistake, and that there are other motives for it than what we are told. And that has nothing to do with my total respect for the military, and those who are willing to fight our battles for us, regardless of the reasons for those battles. This man was brave in a way that few could ever be, and he, quite literally, sacrificed his life to save others. He and his family deserve more than a medal for it.

You, on the other hand, are somewhat retarded.
Ladies and Gentlemen, Anon is but another example of a stupid liberal who cannot fight me with any type of fact, but instead only can call her opponent something such as "retarded."

I challenge the liberal Anon's patriotism. Deep inside, I'm betting she's cheering Petty Officer Monsoor's death, and that it will soon turn the tide of American's against the war.

I hope we have learned our lesson from Vietnam. We actually won the Tet Offensive during Vietnam, but the liberal media managed to turn the American public against their own military just as they are trying in the War on Terror.
