UH Daily Cougar Columnist Melissa Correa 'A so-called Conservative who Loved Brokeback Mountain' (She won't be feeling that way when her kids are gay)

In a time when Hollywood is losing money by leaps and bounds UH Daily Cougar columnist Melissa Anne Correa evidently has enough time on her hands to go and support Hollywood liberals who as of late can only be able to submit mostly gay and lesbian themed movies for public consumption.

In her tripe today, "Film raises questions about gay discrimination in society," the so-called Conservative, Melissa Correa, claims she "can't grasp why society persecutes homosexual relationships," after seeing the movie 'Brokeback Mountain,' "a movie that focuses on a secret gay relationship."

Almost straight out, Correa proclaims "I am a conservative" trying to lend an ear of credibility to the liberals on campus with the thought "alright, we just converted another Conservative to progressivism."

I'm really not interested in a movie about two gay men that "explicitly illustrates their sexuality," and allows the viewer to "understand the connection the two men share." Everything points to the gay marriage issue, which already been settled in Texas, and will never be allowed nationally.

Correa's discussion of the gay "issue with a few men" really put her on the path to "homosexual rights." Next thing you know gays will be demanding the right to vote.

But with Correa it has to go deeper than that, perhaps she has a gay family member that is not accepted by her family. As with the 'Passion of the Christ' where viewers were turning themselves in to the police for crimes they committed from the guilt they endured while watching the movie, could 'Brokeback' be Melissa Correa's 'Passion?'

Could Melissa be lesbian herself, and this column be an outlet to 'test the waters' of acceptance in society before breaking the news to her family that grandchildren in their future will not be a possibility?

Correa admits "I've met so many guys, and I have yet to share any kind of great love like these two men found" in Brokeback. Either she has not realized that love cannot be found in one meeting or that perhaps she should be looking for a girl to find that "great love." No, I'm not advocating that Correa engage in a gay relationship, but if she does find one then 'be gay' and live your life without forcing it on everyone.

Correa doesn't understand that society doesn't condemn homosexuality because its homosexual, its because homosexuals thrust their homosexuality unto society with the thoughts of "suck on this or else."

Correa makes excuses for men who are "in the closet out of embarrassment." Next thing you know she'll want former bedwetters to "come out." She disagrees that gays can be gays "as long as they weren't flamboyant."

Correa blames "society and our parents for encouraging the idea of anti-homosexuality," and has greatly disappointed her parents by not engaging in the law professions, but instead decided on the low paying and dying profession of liberal journalism.

Correa asks that "if two people love each other, what's the big deal?" You damn right it makes a big deal. With societal acceptance of homosexuality Melissa that just paves the way for more socially acceptable defiant behavior such of old men having sex with young girls or boys. When will it stop?

Oh you are a trendsetter Melissa Anne Correa, a trendsetter for the moral decline of the United States. I hope you are happy, (gay happy) that is.

Screw the libs!

Promoting gay relationships and the gay lifestyle bends America over and opens the back door to gay adoption. Few things could be more destructive for children. Children need both a mother and a father to learn how to be adults and relate appropriately to both men and women. Children have it tough enough without having to go through growing up with two moms and a turkey baster or two dads and a chemical set for parents instead of a normal mother and father.

Liberals try to tamper with the system that has kept the human race alive and prosperous for thousands of years and wonder why the kids become so screwed up like "American" Taliban John Walker Lindh who has a gay dad.

The gay community is not content with stuffing their rectums which each other, they have to take it further and stuff their agenda down wholesome America's throats. When conservatives speak up against a lifestyle that is destructive to our society and our children's futures they are dismissed as bigots and liberal biased "hate speech laws" are enacted to take away our cherished First Amendment rights. But when liberals force their beliefs on us and others we are supposed to see these flamers as merely fanning the flames of freedom.

The Liberals have already tried to take our faith, our nation's honor, and the dignity of America. Now they wish to hold the sphincters of our children hostage as well. A liberal is a person who will understand nothing until their destruction of our great nation has left them with nothing worthy of understanding.

I did not detect that Melissa was sincere in her writing. Just by saying you are a Conservative in your writing does not mean you are Conservative.

Wow. You guys are hilarious! Really.

But I'm curious, when did UH stop requiring freshman english class?

Many of us here have already completed undergraduate degrees, are in graduate programs, have completed graduate degrees already, etc, unlike nearly all of the Daily Cougar reporters.

The purpose of a blog is to give it straight and quick. We at the UH Conservative Underground all have careers, our classes etc, to think of, so if a typo gets in there every now and then it's because we are busy people. We don't get paid to do this like the Daily Cougar reporters. We are here because we are patriotic Americans who care about our nation and the truth.

The spoiled children of liberal privilege are too busy painting the walls of their ivory towers with their own feces of liberalism to hold down a full-time job. They might have a little more time for the spell check than we do since they need not hold down a job, but look at the quality of their ideas, (lack thereof rather), and you will see the intellectual poverty of the liberals.

People who come to this board with the hopes of denigrating the noble American standards of government and society that we promote never do succeed in defeating our ideals. We trounce them quickly; it does not take much effort to expose our critics’ detachment from reality, harbored by their small minds that have been marinated in liberal tripe.

I guess you wonder about the freshman English class because you are still in high school; at least that is what I have gleaned so far.

I couldn't tell you much about the freshman English courses anyway; I tested out of it and many other courses before coming here.

Screw the libs!

After wasting the last five minutes of my life perusing what I am sure you would like to call an expression of sound mind and character, I can only wonder what things you sir are hiding in your closet.

I imagine, that like any other dissenting comment, you will remove this post because your mind cannot comprehend the reality at hand.

It is easy, I'm sure, for you to make yourself feel better about your cause by throwing accusatory darts at someone that you don't know from Jill. Perhaps you sleep better at night by convincing yourself that you are justified in your actions.

I'm afraid my dears, that the purpose of a blog is not "to give it straight and quick." The purpose of a blog is to provide a forum for those who are too scared to express their opinions otherwise. One would never quote a blog when writing a research paper; the truth expressed is usually biased and relative. Furthermore, if you are truly patriotic Americans who care about our nation and "the truth" you would be more concerned about the libelous nature of your postings.

If you are going to try and defame a person's character, make sure that you have your facts straight. To all of us who know Correa and her family, the mere presence of this attack on her makes you look more ridiculous than Britney Spears on a good day.

Get with the program, folks. Join the rest of us in the 21st century and make amends with the fact that journalism, especially on the collegiate level, is run on an agenda. I would imagine that you all would be screaming bloody murder if anyone ever attacked your beloved Rupert Murdoch.

Correa is anything but a child of liberal privilege. In fact, her family, unlike most of the Rio Grande Valley, affiliates itself conservatively, and she has no homosexual relatives. Furthermore, she herself is not homosexual, although I'm sure you all would love for her to be. Perhaps believing so fufills a caged fantasy of yours.

Psychologically speaking, you sirs, are more likely to belong to the party that you seem to despise more than Satan himself.

Go ahead and attack me. I will be waiting. I can guarantee you that this is an argument that you will not win.
