UH Daily Cougar Printing Press on the Blink 'Time for a PDF Version of the Paper to be made available On-line'

For the second day in a row, the printing of the UH Daily Cougar has been a problem, and it is time to make a change. I've written on other occassions about posting PDF versions of the paper on-line, and at least cutting the printed version of the paper in half.

At least with a PDF version of the Daily Cougar readers can still get the look and feel of the paper when the presses are down, without having to miss the content that the paper provides.

One can tell that with the printing mishaps as of late, that the equipment at the paper's printing press is getting old, and the cost for replacement presses has to be out of the question.

As I have noted before, other college newspapers in Texas have went to PDF as an option, most notably UT, and even HCC. Honestly, the Daily Cougar online is in desperate need of an intervention to breath new life into the tripe.

I just hope that someone at the Daily Cougar has enough balls to make a lasting and legacy enhancing decision to better the paper.
